Springtime and Onions?
Thoughts of spring are in my head, even though I know winter isn't really over yet. I had the wee boy yesterday morning, and after we had a nice little lunch, we went for a walk in the fresh air. He rode the stroller, all bundled up in a little quilt, and wearing Oma's gloves on his little hands. Before we even got out to the street, he was sound asleep, so I took a nice leisurely walk through the neighborhood.
The sun was shining, the sky is blue, and I can hear some of the birds calling to each other, and a wittle boy to love on. What more could a person ask?
With these thoughts, I've pulled out Wabi Sabi again. This piece of work has been in my head for the last two, maybe three years. I won't show the enitire piece yet, since I am still stewing on it. I've tried a couple different things but I still don't have it where I want it to go, yet. It's on the design wall now, giving me a chance to study it as I get ready for a birthday stitch day with the Amazing Quilt Babes here on Saturday.
But I will share the humble onion from whence beauty springs.

love the texture and colors on the onion...and what an adorable little boy! Cher
pretty sparklies and fun fiber. And amazing photos - very clear and I can see incredible detail.
Good for you in having a sublime day with the wee laddie! I have laughed my head off over your last few posts. Thanks! I needed that! It does feel good to get the tree out and get back in the swing of things. Loved the convergence. And as for the bag(s) of fabric crumbs... I also must confess to have a couple of those myself... And I feel the need to maybe suggest that you were saving them for... oh, I don't know... how about pillow stuffin's? That would work nicely and it didn't cost you a cent. Sarah is over there making pillows... now wouldn't she just shoot us? I think that is what i was saving mine for... well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Love onions in any form!
Oh your little walk sounded so wonderful! I'm sitting her right now waiting for the 4-8 inches of snow they say is coming tonight to show up! I hope I get home first!
STephen is getting SO BIG! What a fun time you must have together. I just love being able to pop over to your blog and see what you've put on here..it's so much better than an email! Esepcially love seeing the lonely little onion up close and personal! :c)
