Tea for Three?

I thought I would share the stitching on these unique tea towels that I found at a quilt shop in Audubon, Iowa last summer. And yes, Tonya, the flowers Are rick-rack! Such a nice little idea, and I think it would be quick to do. But, since I always say *I* could do that, and then never do, I decided to buy the ones that were for sale!

These three towels will be going to my "hausfrau" niece for Christmas, who loves anything needlework!

On the quilting/sewing front, I am making a little progress on the baby quilt with the rick-rack. I've decided to go with my initial instinct (with your permission) to surround each little block with the large rick-rack. Someone asked if this was added or if it was fabric that showed rick-rack. Well, to be exact - it is TWENTY yards of giant pink rick-rack. I was the only person in Jo-Ann's who was not buying fleece! LOL!

I was at a craft fair a few years ago and a lady had a sign on her table that said, "Yes you COULD make it yourself. But WILL you?" Since then if it's something I realy like I just go ahead and buy it. And if I decide to make one myself I have the original as a pattern.

I guessed that those were ric-rac flowers - what a great idea! Glad to hear that you are using the pink ric rac around each of the blocks! Funny I wasn't buying fleece either - I was buying flannel - I love flannel backs!

Hurray for no fleece Sharon, if I'd have been there, it would have been TWO of us with NO fleece....I think it's trying to take over the world!!!

I definitely wouldn't have been buying fleece, but don't think I would have come up with the idea to buy rick rack either! I just love the way this group thinks...everyone adds a creative touch. I guess that's what makes us mavericks?! The tea towels are adorable...
