Personal Quilt Show

Remember the other day, when I decided to have my own personal quilt show on my design wall across from where I sew? Here it is!

The cat quilt on the left is one that my Asilomar friend Wendy made for an auction. I was able to win it by bidding through someone who organized the auction in CA, and did it ever surprise her to find out that *I* was the winning bidder! She designed the cats from the fabric she used on the back of the quilt. I'll take more pictures of that later and repost just this quilt and the backing fabric. It is a dear little quilt to me.

On the right side of the Green Rag (aka Asilomar Sunset) is my January Journal Quilt (no name), which was actually completed from a view out of my stewdio window January 2004. I still have February and March of that year's Journal quilts to bind. I'll tell their story later, too.

And last, there's a little New York Beauty to the lower right that is paper pieced, and handquilted. I won it in a silent auction from a local quilt guild. Just a little prettiness to brighten my days.

What a great idea. Your own little quilt show each day. All the pieces in this show are for sure ribbon winners.

They're all so beautiful, but especially love the cat quilt.

What a terrific little mini-show, Sharon! And I love the way you've soft-focused the edges. Very artsy...they'd make great postcards to send to friends!

I love the idea that you always go for those silent auctions...and win besides! Way to go!

I love the quilt show...even the "green rag" you call it. I guess it's in the eye of the beholder, but I like it. I like them all!

I emailed you about the Gwen Marston retreat. I have some info to find out before we commit but OH JOY!! It would be great to be there with someone else that I "know". Sort of, anyway.

I love your little quilt show! I wish I had someplace to put my own little quilt shows on like that! Those cats remind me of those log cabin row houses!
