Now you see it, now you don't - end of April weight and measurements

This little 22" square quilt won first place at our guild's Monochromatic challenge quite a few years ago. It's simply log cabins, and you make the strips larger for the optical illusion of one of the log cabins popping out. It was the first quilt that I added a bead to, and I thought I was so "out there" LOL! I handquilted on all the little logs diagonally starting with the light purple logs and working to the left. It is closely stippled around the larger log cabin to emphasize the size, and on each log in the dark purple around the large striped logs up to the light purple ones. I also had just learned how to do ruching, so of course, it had to have a ruched center to it, too! I had forgotten about it, and just "discovered" it again when I was straightening out a linen cupboard.

And, I am pleased to report that it's not an optical illusion that my clothes are too big for me! It was another really good month for me in the weight loss and inches lost department!

This is the summary of inches lost since I began my work at the gym and cutting calories January 9:

TWENTY pounds!
2" Neck
2" Upper Arm
1.5" Forearm
5.5" Chest
3.5" Waist
5" Hip
4.5" Thigh (each one!)
3" Calf

It's not coming off as rapidly as the trainer thinks it could, but I know that my lifestyle is not always eating at home, and not only eating 2 oz of meat for dinner. So all in all, I think this is great success over four months. I would like to lose another 20 lbs now, and see if I can stop there or not.
