Changing Comments

Well, there are some bad people out there in the Blogosphere for sure! This blog has been hit numerous times with spammed comments that are all in Chinese characters, and the commenter has no known profile, but the comments are left with a name (not anonymous). I've reported it to the Google Blog people, and I've removed all but 15 of them (so they can review them). In the meantime, so we all don't get burned, please do this:

*Never click on comments that appear to be in foreign characters.

*Please bear with the new comment moderation before your comment shows on my blog. I do promise that I will review all comments and release them as soon as I can. This shouldn't be too painful.

In the meantime, your Quiltgranny wishes you many stitches and piecefulness!

Oh, Quilt Granny Sharon, I am so sorry you are getting this nasty stuff. I seem to get those kinds of emails every now and then, too, but not in quantity. I love the photo --I would have that frown on my face, too, if I were in your shoes. :-)

I threw mine on "moderate comments on post over 7 days old.". It worked well the other day when I goer hit with about 50 spam comments in a row.

I had a hit from that foreign language guy last week; it was the first time in a long while. Seems to go in spurts. Some people need to getta life. Sheesh.

Word Verificatioin: sureperi, a chex-mix type of snack, with minced dried apricots added along with semi-sweet chocolate bits. I could go for some right now.
