Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!

This quilt is probably one of my most favorite display quilts! It's 84" square, and I travelled back and forth to Colorado when I was making it. I think I lost as many of the geese on the road as what I actually made. It was supposed to have a fancy schmancy pieced border on it, but it just didn't want to fit. So, here it is, in all it's glory.

When I put it up, it signals to me that Spring really will come. Even if there is snow on the ground and it's below freezing, I know when I see this red and white sparkling on the wall in my hearth room, the seasons WILL change.

I'm like our friend Finn these days. Spending more time at sewing and with friends than at the computer. But, when I am in blogville, I stroll through the paths my friends send me on, and smile, and shake my head and laugh occasionally, too. Valentine's Day can be for our friends too. So I thank you all for sharing your smiles and stories and loves and laughs.

What a great Valentine quilt. Not to much over the top. I love low key Valentine.

Even though there are no hearts, it still is perfect for the holiday. I just love red and white!

Ooh, dynamic quilt - sorry to hear you kept losing bits of it tho, very frustrating.

Have to admit, I've been spending more time on the computer and less quilting. Can't seem to make my mind focus so it's easier not to. I'll get thru that - just ready to be on holiday is all.

Love the quilt! So simple & effective. How is it quilted? (I can see - in my mind - feathered hearts in the large white spaces...)

Love your red/white quilt. I can't imagine that a pieced border would have added anything. It's so pretty as it is!

Happy Valentine's Day to you!

OOOOOO! Ahhhhhhhh! Ohhhhh! I love that quilt - how perfect for valentines! But I've always love flying geese. And I'm totally envious of that HUGE quilt hanger shelf! It holds an 84" square quilt! WOW!!!! and more OOOO's, Ahhh's and Ohhh's!
