Born to Quilt

Yesterday was the big sale at Needle Nest. I hope I dressed appropriately.

If I leaned over just right as I was cutting fabric, you could see my entire "tattoo". It got a lot of laughs!

Today, I finished up one of the Gwen Marston retreat quilts. It ended up being 49" X 60" - far from the king size I had planned originally. I like the look of it, and I especially like the streak of lightening setting. I don't think I could have worked at it for an entire huge quilt, though. The colors are just not what makes my heart sing. This is destined for a lap throw in Hubby's office.

I don't know if I was "born to quilt" but quilting sure helps my health, better than a psychologist, I guess.

Those colors sing to me...I'd be happy to take it off your hands if hubby doesn't want it! :o)

This morning, out of the blue, DH said to me that if I had any tattoos he would have never dated me. But I do like your tattoos.

Your basket quilt is cute. Your hubby will like it, I'm sure.

OMGosh - I've really been thinking of 'getting' one, based on being a quilter! It's absolutely WONDERFUL!!!

Way to cool!!!!!!!!

I want a quilting tattoo so bad. I have a fake born to quilt tattoo that I have been saving in hopes of getting a real tattoo someday.

Great quilt for Hubby's office. I really like the way you did the second column top and bottom blocks.

Love your tattoo - how cool is that? I think I need to get one when I work at the quilt store. It does come off, right? The basket quilt is beautiful!

Ha! Little Boy saw a teen today with a brand new rather largish tattoo today and he was ALL EYES!

The basket quilt is cute, but yes, if it does not "sing" to you - better off to finish it up and gift it to hubby - he will only appreciate your passion so much more and next time you mention you need new sewing machine needles he might suggest a whole new machine! LOL. That is my DH - he has been trying to get me to get a new machine all summer.

Cheers!

Love the tattoo! I had one of those born to quilt tattoos that I wore this summer while DD and I were shop hopping in MN. I put it about the same place you had yours, and My DD was absolutely mortified that I did that. I thought it was hilarious!

I am getting a real one, looks like that one but you really can;t see what block it is and I want more definition,I had another one in mind it involved a sewing machine, but I really don't want all that black,so I am still plotting it out,but I am going to put it where it can be seen by everyone
