Here is another one

Are you bored yet? Here is another lap quilt like the others that I just finished the other day. I have another one on the quilting machine, and one that went back to Carolyn to finish the binding. I've lost track what number we are on. I guess when the work basket is empty that means we're finished, right?

I know I've been MIA. I had several dear friends call and write saying they were/are concerned about me. I'm OK, but a bit overwhelmed. Not with the quilting commitments, but rather life in and of itself. I'm still dealing with Mother's terminal condition, hubby's recovery, my grandchildren, and me still trying to lose weight and get healthy. Some days it's just too much! On top of all that, we decided to have a new closet system installed, new bedroom carpet installed (and in the same closet where the new system is), and hardwood replacement for the carpeted stairway and upstairs hallway. That's been going on, and will continue for the next couple of weeks as well.

We did a little runaway trip again to Las Vegas last Sunday through Tuesday. I had a luxurious day in the spa at the Bellagio. I had a swedish relaxation massage with hot cranberry oil and hot stones for my feet, and stayed in the eucalyptous steam room for as long as I could tolerate it. I spent a great deal of time in the meditation room, too. It was all very nice as long as it lasted...but now, I am home again, and back to reality.

Welcome back! Boy ... there's never a good time for all that's happening in your life, especially just at, and between, these two big holidays.

Glad to see you back, Sharon. These quilts are great and will be greatly appreciated I'm sure. Do you have a pattern for it?

oh my, Sharon, it is a wonder you can even come up for air with all that going on--now toss the holiday hub bub in on top of it. I was just looking at my big Carpenter's wheel pattern today as a matter of fact, thinking that I really should try it some day. So, no, I am not tired of looking at home yours turned out, LOL.

Life does get a bit overshelming sometimes, doesn't it.
Hang in there. It does get better, at least that is what they tell me. LOL
It was just a month over 1 year ago that they told us that my Dad was terminal and only had 2 weeks to 1 month. Well, he didn't pass until Feb. My mom is 94 and frail. A side note, I work outside the home. I tell you all this to let you know that I do understand & comiserate.
I can say this, Enjoy what little time you have with your Mom & don't let the enevitable get in the way of that presious time you have togeather.

prays & love

And I thought *I* was a busy lady! Whew, you make me tired just reading all you are going thru/dealing with. God Bless you and give you strength during all that you have going on right now.

You've definitely earned the spa day. I can't even imagine....

It was good to hear your voice again, GF. I'd been worried and was about to issue an All Points Bulletin -- imagine if you'd been located in that there spa! It sounds as though it was a glorious brief respite. Hugs and kisses.
